We’re lovers and we’re losers,
We’re heroes and we’re pioneers,
And we’re beggars and we’re choosers.
Hello there, welcome to my new (and crazy) blogging adventure!
I’m not going to say, as many do, that I don’t know what I’m doing, because I do know it. I am finally taking the jump and starting a blog about what I really do: Design (And Patterns. And Architecture.)
Well, you would think that this should not be that difficult, because is what you do for a living, isn’t it?
Truth is, not really.
I do work as an architect on real life. But architecture as a profession is… complicated. Is not only designing building and spaces, then you have to get them build. According to the normative. And within budget. I love the challenge that, and the feeling of acomplishment when you figure out a tricky detail… However, that is a really serious buisness. This site is just for the fun of it, a place to share wat I know and hopefully find some like minded readers.
Does any of this make any sense?
And that is terrifying (And oh, so exciting!)
Because here there are no excuses. If this is crap, is all on me. BUT. If this is great, that would be all me (and my friends and community on whom I relay for feedback and the occasional pep talk).
For some years I have been looking for a place where I could be myself (design wise), and I hope this blog would turn out to be that place.
I do not fear a blank page, as a designer you fear a blank space. Right now that’s how I see this blog, like a blank wall: there is a lot of work to be done, so, better get started.
Here we go!
PD. The quote at the beginning is from one of my favourites singers. This is not a blog about music, but this song has been stuck into my head the whole time I was thinking about this post.
